Marathon #6 – 25/03/2012 – SICILIA : Scoglitti – Marina di Ragusa

I am simply in love with this part of Italy.. Sicily is such a beautiful region, people are very friendly, cities, towns, beaches are gorgeous. And the food, oh my god.. to die for! So really really really looking forward to this run. My dear friend Giorgio is originally from Ragusa and we have been a few times to his holiday house in Marina di Ragusa. So hopefully I will meet him and his family & friends there??!

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

MARATHON No 6 : MAP

This run should be pretty easy navigation wise. We are doing a big loop out and back to Marina di Ragusa. The fact that I have been there before, should also help.. I will certainly recognize all the different restaurants we have been over the years! There seem to be just one manageable hill around the 35km mark, nothing too extreme. The only thing to watch out for, may be the temperature as I am pretty sure that will be pretty warm by March.

 

Time schedule for the race

Warm up – 7:00: Meet @ Scoglitti square

Km 16 – ore 9:10 (expected) : Reach Punta Secca

Km 22 – ore 9:40 (expected) : Reach Marina di Ragusa

Km 30 – ore 10:30 (expected) : Reach Donna Lucata

Finish Km 42 – ore 11:45 : Finish @ Porto turistico di Marina di Ragusa

To let us know if any direction or road is not correct (roads not there anymore, or too busy or not ideal for running, etc.. ) or if there are better alternative routes.

To come running with us, for the whole distance, or only few kilometers!
